Dr. Rani Shina
We at Rolling Hills Family Dentistry pride ourselves on personal attention and professional excellence. Dr. Shina is a long time resident of San Diego. He graduated from Torrey Pines High School and received his first Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego. He completed his graduate training at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco with a dual degree. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Jill, and together they have two girls, Hannah and Emma.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide fair, comprehensive, quality dental care utilizing the latest our profession has to offer. We are fully computerized; we use intra-oral cameras and digital x-rays. Dr. Shina enjoys all phases of dentistry, and we even offer orthodontics to our patients. We accept most dental plans for your convenience, and would be more than happy to give you a tour of our beautiful office.
Dr. Dana Baba
Dr. Dana M. Baba, a Simi Valley native, discovered her passion for dentistry at age fifteen, drawn to its ability to transform smiles and build lasting patient relationships. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley while on the pre-dental track, and later graduated with High Honors from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
Dr. Baba serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Dental Corps, with seven years of active-duty experience and continued service in the Naval Reserves. In 2026, she joined Rolling Hills Family Dentistry in Poway, where she provides compassionate, patient-centered care rooted in evidence-based practices.
She is married to Phillip, a Navy veteran and paramedic, and they have a daughter, Kimiko. Outside of work, Dr. Baba enjoys hiking, running, reading, traveling, and contributing to a local high school marching band program.
